The trickster

Benjamin is a such a fun kid! When we were discussing what he wanted to do for his Pine Wood derby this year we were all throwing out ideas that we thought would be funny. At first he just wanted to do a race car, but all of the sudden you could see a twinkle come into his eye and he started to giggle. He thought it would be soooo funny to see a huge school bus come barreling down the track. It turned out really cute. Every time we would see a school bus, we'd all say, "Hey, that has more lights than we thought" or "It needs three lines" etc. He did a great job on it. It had a little trouble the first few races because the wheels weren't quite aligned, but it smoked on the last races and it was hilarious to see it speed past sleek looking cars and hear all the people cheering for "the bus!"

Mom: Ben, are you ready for you interview?

Ben: yesssssss!

Mom: What are some of your favorite activities?

Ben: I like doing wii fit and playing with my mini cars.

Mom: What are your favorite books?

Ben: Eragon, Mouse TV, and the Magic Tree House series

Mom: What are your favorite movies and why?

Ben: I like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow because there are robots in it that try to destroy the city but he beats them. Kung Fu panda.... because I think it is funny when he sits on Tai lan (sp?). I like Ice Age 2 because when the squirrel beats up all the pirahnas it is funny.

Mom: What do you like to do with your friends?

Ben: I like to jump on the trampoline with them and play mini cars.

Mom: What do you like to do with your family?

Ben: Well, I like playing games with them. Games I like to play are: Snorta, Heroscape, Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, and Ticket to Ride.

Mom: Favorite food?

Ben: SPAGHETTI!

Mom: With or without sauce?

Ben: With Sauce of course! Alfredo sauce is my favorite!

Mom: Favorite things to study?

Ben: Timez Attack, I like science because I made a circuit. I like Study Island because there are fun games.

Mom: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Ben: I want to be an engineer when I grow up and make missiles like my Dad.

Mom: What is your favorite scripture story?

Ben: The murder of the chief judge. I don't know why... it's just that I like it.

Mom: What is your favorite memory?

Ben: When a scout at the Pine wood derby said that I was going to lose, but then I beat him.

Mom: What else would you like us to know about you?

Ben: I like my mom.
